How to choose ventilation or airconditioning?
During the summer, we can sometimes be bothered by the heat, which can influence our concentration and even or health in a negative way.
A workspace with the ideal temperature and refreshed common rooms guarantee comfort and welfare for the employees, but it is not always easy to find the right material between all the possibilities (ventilators, airconditioning, air fresheners,…).
Depending on the company’s activities and the architecture of your office, you will definitely find the best device that will keep you cool during summer...

Equipped with a screw with a large or a smaller diameter, this device ventilates and refreshes the environment, without producing cold air.
Ventilators offer a good value for money and respond to a prompt need. There exist different models, to be used in different environments (at home, in common rooms, in offices,…).
The column ventilator: discrete and functional
This exceptionally practical column shaped model spreads a vertical air stream and rotates around 180°. It is perfect for refreshing a complete space in a lasting manner. This model is compact and silent.
A column ventilator can be moved and stored very easily. Thanks to the compact dimensions and the discrete finish, it is an ideal model for use in the office or at home.
Some models are equipped with a timer, a screen and a remote control. The functioning can be programmed in advance or at a distance.

This model is also called the “table ventilator” and is used frequently in a professional environment, for its simplicity and its mobility. This ventilator is usually meant for one user and can be installed easily on a table or on a desk.
For an optimal feeling of freshness, it is possible to incline the ventilator, in order to refresh the air homogeneously.

A ventilator on foot does not need an extra support. This is its principal advantage. It can be put in every room at home or in the common rooms of the office.
The foot is adaptable in height, so it is possible to use it for refreshing large rooms with a high ceiling. At last, the air stream is adaptable with different speed levels and the ventilator is equipped with a rotating head.

The air blower meets perfectly the requirements of professionals, as it is ideal for large surfaces, e.g. hangars, workshops or garages.
Although it makes a lot of noise, it offers a more efficient air movement, it improves the renewal of warm and humid air, it is responsible for the removal of dust and bad odors and it helps to speed up the drying process of products and materials installed next to it.
It can be inclined, it has three speed levels and it can be put directly on the floor, in order to push the air upwards or it can be fixed to the wall for an optimal efficiency.

The ventilator without propeller blade: high-tech and safe
The ventilation, realized through a circular opening and an aerodynamic ramp, is continuously and powerfully amplified. It consumes few energy and it guarantees an optimal air stream in the whole room.
This model can be cleaned easily, without any danger, as there is no propelling blade, nor a grid.
Thanks to the remote control, you can activate from a distance certain functions, program them or adjust the oscillation without needing to move over.
Efficient, silent and extremely trendy, this ventilator stays a premium product.

The surface of the room, the dimensions of the device, the functions or the capacity,… There are several criteria that will influence your final choice.
Money for value
The first criterion that needs to be taken into account is the price. It is determined in function of the capacity and the available features, and it guarantees the quality and the origins of the device.
Capacity and air flow
The most important characteristic is the capacity of the device, that determines the amount of the circulated air. The capacity is expressed in watt (from 30 to 90 watt, depending on the model), and the air flow is expressed in m³/h or m³/min. For use at home, you can put the ventilator on a desk or on a table, with a low air flow (900 m³/h), while it is better to choose for a more powerful model with an air flow rate of 10 times higher, when it is necessary to refresh a complete room. In a professional context, the air flow must sometimes reach up to 18000 m³/h and you need to search for a model for large surfaces.
Diameter of the propellers
The ventilated surface is determined by the diameter of the propellers: the larger the propeller, the more efficient the ventilation will be, even from a distance.
Sound
Although few attention is paid in a garage or in a hangar to the presence of a ventilator, this criterion can be very important in an office or in a bedroom. The sound is measured in in decibels and it depends on the speed of the ventilator (the higher the position, the more sound it makes).
Multidirectional blowing
Most of the devices are nowadays equipped with this function, as it spreads the air stream over a large surface, without needing to move the device. Certain column ventilators can even rotate over 360°, in order to serve the complete room.
Speed levels
A ventilator is equipped with several speed levels, in order to adjust it to your needs. Watch out: the faster the ventilator rotates, the more sound it makes.
Programming, remote control and functions
Similar to a lot of other devices, ventilators are nowadays equipped with programmable functions (e.g. timer, delayed start and sleeping mode) and a remote control. When you manage the functions from a distance and you program the operating conditions, you can save a lot of energy.
Several manufacturers offer new functions for a more comfortable use (functions for hot air or a breeze, with repellent effect against mosquitoes or with the distribution of an odor), or for a better health (distribution of essential oils or negative ions).
Design
The design is particularly important when you want to install the ventilator in an office or in a living room. Efficiency and aesthetics go lately hand in hand, and the devices are often available in several colors, materials or shapes.
