The product will turn on only when flipped upside down. I cant believe that this product is this defective! Unfortunately, I will go back to your competitor...oh brother.

Canon... you've been doing this long enough that you shouldn't be putting out such amateurish software. The device itself is fine. The software is trash. Definitely designed and refined by engineers, not UX experts. You'd better hope that Apple doesn't decide to start building printers.

There is nothing simple about trying to set up this "Multi-function" printer/scanner/copier. I'm trying to figure out how to scan to my PC, and it's a maze of links to nowhere. The support information on your site is horrible. The only application I've found that will make the scanning function work is one i would have to pay for. I would rather dump this junk and buy and HP.

This is a very good printer when it works. I've had it for about a year. I have it installed on my Apple Base Station Extreme. About every two weeks I have to reset connect it to my Wireless Network. I've been blaming this problem on my MacBook Pro until today. I bought a new Asus Laptop this week. it found it when I set up the laptop with no problem. Again today when I went to print from my MacBook Pro no printer. So I went to the Asus. NO PRINTER FOUND. I powered down the MF212W, powered back up after 5 minutes and reset up the printer from my MBP. Now it's working again. I will be selling this and going back to a Brother Laser printer.
Just ANOTHER PIECE of GARBAGE from Canon.

This printer is prints very nice and very fast. However, I print about once every 2 weeks. Every time I try to print something I notice the blue light is flashing showing me the IP address has apparently changed. It will not print until I pull the AC plug to power it off then power it back on. Now, that is no longer working, I likely need to uninstall and reinstall the printer to my PC.
