All in one printer with difficult to engage Wi-Fi
I jumped on this printer at it's attractive price because its capacity to be used with a Wi-Fi connection meant I wouldn't have to use up a USB port to connect to it. There are always more USB devices that I want to connect to than the number of USB ports on my iMac.
Well, that was what I had hoped when I bought it. But it turns out that this printer, like a Brother color laser printer I'm also using, that also advertises that it was Wi-Fi connectable, is actually very, very, very resistant to Wi-Fi connectability. So resistant that I've given up trying to connect them wirelessly and have resorted to the dreaded wires that give them life with my iMac. I've been all over the web checking out so-called solutions and find the only constant is that I can't escape the need for wire with these wireless printers.
Thus, I'm able to use both printers but only when I give up scarce ports for the direct connection. In all other respects, both of my brother printers perform perfectly.

I got what I paid for
The price was inexpensive, but I feel like I got what I paid for. My issues: (1) Cost of ownership is high (ink cartridges are expensive and not long lasting; (2) Jams easily and not always easy to unjam; (3) Pages sometimes have ink splotches on them; (4) Envelope feeder is temperamental and a return address never prints where it should despite having tried tweaking Microsoft Word settings; (5) Will no longer work wirelessly after a Windows 10 upgrade, Brother Support was useless in resolving the problem, and a firmware upgrade did not help. I bought a USB cable and gave up on wireless support.

Piece of garbage!
We have gone through 2 new sets of cartridges trying to get this thing to print decent photos with no good results. This has been the worst purchase concerning printers to date. Don't buy this piece of garbage. It will only cause frustration and fail you when you need it to perform the function you bought it for. We are a 4 person family, all of us rate it 2 thumbs down. We bought it based on the great and solid performance of lazer printers such as the HL-22700W, but this is a pile of garbage! Total waste of hard earned money!

So far so good, but a little complex
Printer has all the features I wanted for personal and very light home-office use. No operational problems in the couple of months I've had it. I have had some problems figuring out how to do some operations based only on looking at the LCD screen icon-based instructions but pretty sure I can find more detail in a manual if it becomes important. Overall quite satisfied--only 4 stars awarded because I can't verify long term performance.

Great Wifi Printer
I have been through some many different printer and this is has been the best! It has an easy set up for a wifi printing statue and never has an issue with the internet. The scaner is great and also send through wifi! I also feel that the ink lasts a long time, I got my printer in the beginning of August for college and haven't needed to replace the ink yet. There is at least 4 people using the printer too. An all around great printer!
